The following Act becomes effective July 1, 2005 and affects members of the Georgia Judicial Retirement System (GJRS): Act No. 16 (House Bill 492) - Amends 47-23-43 to provide that persons who become employed by the Office of Legislative Counsel pursuant to 28-4-3 or the Attorney General’s Office pursuant to 45-15-31 and are employed in a full-time position requiring admission to the State Bar of Georgia would no longer be eligible to join GJRS effective July 1, 2005. Such members would be required to participate in the Employees’ Retirement System. |
